KCCDA Administrative Staff

Jeff Troyer

Executive Director

Jeff has worked for KCCDA since February 2016 when he was hired to begin the consolidation of the five 911 centers: the Cities of Kalamazoo and Portage, Kalamazoo County, Kalamazoo Township, and Western Michigan University. He serves as the organization’s Chief Executive and is responsible for all aspects of the 9-1-1 Communications Center.

Torie Rose

Deputy Director

Torie has worked for KCCDA since December 2017. She serves as the organization’s Deputy Director and is responsible for the operations of the 9-1-1 Communications Center. Prior to accepting her position with KCCDA, Torie was the Communications Supervisor for the dispatcher center at Portage Department of Public Safety for four years.

Jon Moored

Network & Systems Administrator

Jon has worked for KCCDA since August 2018. As the Network & Systems Administrator, Jon is responsible for maintaining and implementing various networks, servers, and computer equipment. Prior to his position with KCCDA, Jon worked for the City of Holland in the IT department working for the Fire Department, Police Department, and City Hall.

Marty Ftacek

Support Specialist

Marty came to KCCDA in February 2018 in primary support of public safety systems used by KCCDA and partner agencies. Marty has extensive experience with 911 and public safety technology, including computer-aided dispatch deployment and two-way radio fleet management. Marty is a certified Firefighter I/II and Emergency Medical Technician.

 

Chris McComb

Executive Administrative Assistant

Chris came to KCCDA in August 2018 to serve as the Executive Administrative Assistant. Her duties at KCCDA include payroll, benefits, accounts payable, and office management. Before pursuing a dispatch career at the organization, she spent nine years as the Executive Administrative Assistant to the County Administrator in Calhoun County.

Marie Gleesing

Training Supervisor

Marie came to work for KCCDA October 2018. Overseeing the KCCDA Quality Assurance Program, she is the Training Supervisor who evaluates employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and techniques. Prior to the KCCDA, Marie spent 22 years working at the City of Portage in the Public Safety Communications Center.

Nicole Face

Quality Assurance Supervisor

Nicole acts as the organization’s Quality Assurance Supervisor. After starting her career as a dispatcher in 2016, she brought her experience to Kalamazoo County Dispatch Authority in October of 2018. In addition to her other duties, Nicole also serves as a Communications Training Officer (CTO), helping new dispatchers acclimate to their new roles.

Justin Johnson

Systems Support Specialist

Justin came to KCCDA in May of 2022 after serving in various Information Technology roles at multiple other public entities and various industries.  Justin earned a Bachelors from WMU and three Associates from KVCC.  In addition to his work at KCCDA, Justin carries his Firefighter I and II, and Medical First Responder certifications and serves on a local fire department.

Katie Dunfield

Administrative Assistant

Katie is from the Kalamazoo area and worked for 13 years in the Sign Manufacturing Industry before coming to KCCDA in 2023.   She brings her professional office experience and assists with many general administrative office operations, and Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN) functions.  Katie is most likely the first person you will see when visiting KCCDA.
